Aston University Birmingham. Corridors

Now the pictures speak for themselves. Incredible finish on this Merbu floor. 3 coats of

commercial seal. We apply the seal with a 9 roller and a brush round the edge. The floor is

walkable and ready for high traffic just after a few hours. Finshed in a semi-gloss finish. The

clients were amazed by the standards of craftsmanship.

The client requested that all gaps across the floor are filled and we re corked all the way

round the edge. We sanded this floor using a Hummel belt sander and Bona flex machine up

to 120 grit. Our team carried out the work during the summer school holiday on Twilight

shifts. We did this minimise any destruction to a busy University.

Little Sutton Floorings were proudly nominated contracts for the restoration of 12 corridors at Aston University’s Birmingham. We arrived on site to see that this Merbu floor had definitely aged over time with the blocks becoming Grey and large gaps appearing across the whole floor. Nothing that our highly skilled team can’t handle. Loose blocks and repairs carried out first.
