Preparation- is the foundation of any successful flooring project, and it’s arguably the most important step. At Little Sutton Flooring Ltd, we take great care in preparing the floor for its final sanding. Starting with an 80-grit sandpaper and progressing to 120-grit, we ensure the surface is perfectly smooth and ready for finishing.
We use only the best buffing and finishing machines to deliver results that exceed our clients’ expectations. Our flooring teams are highly skilled craftsmen with years of experience, committed to achieving a flawless finish every time.
SKILLED
SANDING
Sanding is a crucial step in restoring the beauty of your wood floors. Skilled sanding involves carefully removing the worn top layer of the wood—typically about 0.5mm—revealing the fresh surface beneath. We use high-end machinery, including the Hummel and Bona belt sanders, both equipped with built-in dust extraction systems for a cleaner, more efficient process.
To start, we use specialist-grade sandpaper to effectively strip away old lacquers, polishes, and layers of accumulated finish that have built up over the years. This precise sanding process ensures the wood is smooth, level, and ready for the next stage of restoration.
SEALING
WOODEN FLOORS
Sealing & Finishing – Wooden floors can be sealed with a range of high-quality stains, seals, and oils to enhance their appearance and durability. At Little Sutton Flooring, we use only premium products from trusted brands such as Junkers, Bona, Osmo, and more. These finishes are available in a variety of options, including Semi-Gloss, Matt, and Ultra Matt, allowing you to choose the perfect look for your space.
For environments that demand extra durability, we also offer a Friction Plus finish, ideal for high-traffic, wet areas such as nightclubs, bars, and social clubs. This specialized finish provides enhanced slip resistance, ensuring both safety and longevity in challenging conditions.
