In 2008, the All Saints Medical Centre opened its doors, accompanied by newly refurbished rooms at the back of the church. When Little Sutton Flooring Ltd was nominated to work on

this community project, we were excited to take on the challenge of transforming a worn and neglected Maple wooden floor into something truly spectacular.

When we first stepped onto the floor, we could see it had been untouched for over a decade. Deep scratches, bruising, and years of wear and tear were evident — but we knew this was going to be a rewarding restoration.

Maple Wooden Floor Restoration

We began the process by tackling the most damaged areas with a 36-grit sandpaper on the Hummel belt sander. To get rid of the deep bruising and scratches, we repeated this step twice. Once we had smoothed out the worst of the damage, we moved on to finer grits, starting with 60-grit and then 80-grit to refine the surface.

The real magic happened when we buffed the floor with 80-grit and 120-grit pads. This gave the wood an incredibly smooth, silky finish, setting the stage for the final step.

For lasting durability and an elegant sheen, we finished the floor with three coats of Juckers HT700 semi-gloss lacquer. The result was a beautifully restored floor with a stunning finish that can withstand the hustle and bustle of community use for years to come.

This project was a perfect example of our commitment to quality craftsmanship and our passion for transforming spaces. We're proud to have helped breathe new life into a community hub that will continue to serve the local area for years ahead.
