Engineered Oak Fitting

The finished product we gave the client a few options. After light sanded we applied 2 coats

of morrells black light fast stain and 2 coats of grey wash stain. We then applied 3 coats of

lacquer across the floor. The contrast between the light and dark keeps a cosy feel but not

making the room too dark.

Mr Johnson’ I’m over the moon with Little Sutton Floorings work they have totally

transformed my house. Excellent job of fitting engineered Oak and lovely contrast just what I was after. Highly recommend them.

We then applied a floor primer. Why do we apply a primer ? The job of a primer is to create a base and make a good bond between the glue. The primer also helps to hold back any

moisture in the sub floor. The client chose engineered prime grade Oak. We fitted the floor

using lecol wood adhesive. Engineered Oak is an excellent choice because it holds back

moisture and is very well suitable for busy environments. The durability is very good and it

has a long life span due it’s hard foundations.

This Cosy lounge in Lichfield was covered in an old Victorian carpet. We ripped up the

carpet and the underlay. Vacuum the floor throughout to remove any dirt on the surface. The clients wanted the cosy feel but wanted the room to have more character. Our team had a great idea. Read more to see the finished results !
